Advertising & Sponsorship Policy

Orbyt displays banner advertising to keep the platform free for users. This policy outlines the types of ads we accept, how they are labeled, and your choices. It works alongside our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

1. Ad Networks & Formats

  • Networks — We currently partner with ExoClick for banner ads.
  • Formats — Display banners only (no auto-playing video, pop-unders, or misleading "system" notifications).
  • Placement — Ads appear in fixed slots outside user-generated content.

2. Prohibited Ad Categories

We reject or block ads that promote:

  • Illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia
  • Firearms, ammunition, or related accessories
  • Adult content, pornography, or sexual services
  • Unlicensed or offshore gambling
  • Deceptive "get-rich-quick" schemes or pyramid programs
  • Deepfake or non-consensual synthetic media
  • Political advertising without verified authorization

Note: This policy applies to advertisements only. User-generated content containing adult or sexually explicit material is also prohibited under our Community Guidelines and Content Enforcement Policy.

3. Sponsored & Native Content

All sponsored posts, paid promotions, or affiliate links created by Orbyt or an external partner will be clearly labeled "Sponsored" or"Promoted." Users posting their own affiliate links must comply with community rules and applicable disclosure laws (e.g., FTC guidelines).

4. Interest-Based Advertising & Opt-Out

Our partners may use cookies to show interest-based ads. U.S. residents can opt out of this "sharing" via our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link or by visiting each network's opt-out page.

5. Ads to Minors

Orbyt is for users 13+. We do not knowingly target ads for alcohol, adult content, gambling, or other age-restricted products to anyone under 18.

6. Ad Quality & Malware

We monitor creative standards and block ads that contain malware, auto-redirects, or excessive animation. If you encounter a malicious or policy-violating ad, please email advertising@orbyt.social with a screenshot, target URL, and brief description so we can investigate across all ad networks.

7. Policy Updates

We may revise this Advertising & Sponsorship Policy. Material changes will be posted here.
