Cookie Policy
Last updated — May 24, 2025
This Cookie Policy explains how Orbyt uses cookies and similar technologies. It is part of our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies & Local Storage?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website or third party. Browsers also offer localStorage—a key–value store that persists data in your browser but never leaves your device.
2. Why Third-Party Cookies Appear
- Security & Abuse Prevention — Google reCAPTCHA drops cookies (e.g. SID, HSID) so we can tell humans from bots and keep spam off comment forms.
- Advertising Delivery — Our banner-ad partnerExoClick sets cookies to show, measure, and frequency-cap ads. These cookies are governed by the network's own privacy policy.
3. Local-Storage Items We Set
_grecaptcha— Stored by Google reCAPTCHA to keep its challenge invisible after you've proven you're human.ally-supports-cache— Written by our accessibility helper library (ally.js). Caches one-time feature-detection results to speed up page loads. Contains no personal identifiers.pusherTransportTLS— Saves the fastest transport (WebSocket vs XHR) for real-time notifications, improving reconnect speed.
4. How to Manage or Block These Technologies
- Use your browser's "Clear cookies" or "Block third-party cookies" setting. Doing so will not break basic browsing, but it may disable reCAPTCHA (making some forms inaccessible) and reduce ad relevance.
- For ad-tracking opt-outs, visit our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page or the network's own page: ExoClick.
5. "Do Not Track" Signals
Orbyt does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. Please use the methods above to manage cookies and advertising preferences.
6. Policy Updates
We may revise this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies evolves. A new "Last updated" date will indicate the latest version.
