DMCA Copyright Policy

Orbyt respects intellectual-property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"). This policy explains how copyright owners can request removal of allegedly infringing material and how users can file counter-notifications.
1. Designated Agent

2. Submitting a Takedown Notice
To be effective under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3), your written noticemust include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
- Identification of the material to be removed
(URL or other sufficient locating information). - Your contact information (name, address, phone, and email).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
Incomplete notices may be rejected. We may share the notice with the user who posted the material and publicly archive it at LumenDatabase.org.
3. Counter-Notification
If your content was removed and you believe it is not infringing, you may file a counter-notification under 17 U.S.C. §512(g). It must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the removed content (URL) and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, phone number, and consent to jurisdiction of the federal district court in Frederick County, Maryland (or your U.S. judicial district), and that you will accept service of process from the copyright claimant.
We will forward your counter-notice to the original claimant. Unless they file a court action within 10 business days, we may restore the content.
4. Repeat-Infringer Policy
Operator terminates, in appropriate circumstances, users who are deemed repeat infringers. A user ordinarily receives two copyright strikes; a third valid takedown results in account termination. Severe or willful infringement may lead to immediate termination.
5. Misuse of the DMCA
Submitting false claims or counter-notices may carry legal consequences including damages and attorneys' fees under 17 U.S.C. §512(f). Only use this process for bona fide copyright issues.
6. Relationship to Other Policies
This DMCA Policy works alongside, and does not limit, our Community Guidelines, Content Enforcement Policy, and Terms of Service.
7. Updates
We may revise this DMCA Policy. Material changes will be posted here.
