I ended up getting the game as I did love the Destiny franchise. The game is okay. I mean I am having fun with it but it was not what I expected. I feel like they made some bad decisions with certain aspects of the game and I am to the point where I wish Bungie had just focused on fixing the issues with Halo Infinite over this. Although I think Halo may have its own sub-studio that is under Bungie but Bungie doesn't directly have anything to do with it? I am not sure.
Anyways, I wanted to like Marathon and while I think the game is decent, I just don't see it retaining players long-term and of the people I played with and talked to, no one is buying cosmetics in the game. It went from 88k players on Steam down to a low of 25k. It hasn't even been a week. I am worried.

It is back into the 20ks again. So this means they lost 3/4 of their players already. Although it does go up slightly in the evening. I don't think this is a game people wanted. Some are enjoying it but most Destiny/Bungie fans seem to be disappointed. Also, this was meant to revitalize Bungie as a whole and it is looking like it is just going to hurt the company even more. I didn't play the game but I did at least look into it and watch others play it. It wouldn't have been something I would have wanted to play to begin with. I am burned out on online shooters. I played BF6 and loved it for the first number of months but haven't touched it since early December.
