So I saw a number of people complaining about it online. I don't watch football. I haven't in many years. I stopped watching all sports at some point. I was never into the half-time show to begin with when I did watch football. In fact, once my team was out for the season, I just stopped watching. I only remember watching maybe 4 superbowls in my life.
What I am confused about is why so many people are outraged over it. It featured some "Bad Bunny" rapper/singer, I am not really familiar with who this is. I just saw people saying how "unAmerican" it was. They have historically had non-Americans preform at this event though (I looked it up) and I think this was the first guy, if I am not mistaken, to actually have ties to America through the territory of Puerto Rico.
I am just wondering why so many people are upset. I don't get it. Like if you don't like the artist, just use the 20 min as a break to do something else lol

I think it is just political nonsense. If you talk to people that don't care about politics, their complaints are mostly that it was too sexual (considering they have kids that watched the game with them) and that it was not in English. I think they should have had an English artist with him and toned down the sexual stuff and most people wouldn't have had complaints.
IMO, the show was okay. It was kind of boring. I don't know why they focused so much on celebrities dancing poorly either lol
You are probably right and I did see a lot of people saying they didn't like it because they didn't know what he was saying. Like I know the US has a lot of Spanish speakers in the country but most of who watches the NFL and SB are English speakers. They were probably trying to appeal to a world stage. Soccer aka "real football" (lol) is growing in popularity, especially with Messi playing for Miami now.
