I am not sure where everyone here is located but I know most places have opinions on this. America and Israel have both targeted Iran and have taken out their leader. A lot of people in Iran are celebrating and are happy and hopeful. In American, I see a lot of politicians and people protesting it. I am not sure what is going on with that. I do know the US has been at odds with Iran since the late 70's so I am not shocked that they get involved with taking out their leaders every so many years. They always say it is to prevent nukes from being developed. I don't entirely buy that.
Also, Iran helped Russia not that long ago with Ukraine. Sending them things but Russia has not made so much as a peep with Iran getting attached. China is criticizing it because it will interrupt their oil supply so no shocker there.
I did see a few Americans (military) died during this attack. People are not happy about that.
It just seems like a mess and no matter what opinion you have on it, there will be groups of people screaming at you that you are wrong about it on social media platforms. I tend not to share my thoughts about stuff like this there for a reason...
Anyways, what are your thoughts on everything that has happened? Good? Bad? Indifferent?
This war with Iran seems completely unnecessary to me and like a really bad idea. The Iranian government is super-repressive toward its citizens and I didn't like Khomeini one bit, but this seems like a really stupid way to deal with any of that. I worry that it is going to spiral out of control and start WW3. I was already on edge before this, but this is giving me a sinking feeling in my stomach.
I am worried about China or Russia getting involved. Iran is targeting US bases because of this. I am sorry but I am sick of going to war for Israel and I know I am not the only one. We already seen 6 lives lost over this. Let Israel fight their own battles!!!
This shit is so stupid. I'm pretty sure most of the MAGA base doesn't even want this. It seems to be just something impulsive that Trump did, either based on a whim or influenced by the last person he talked to.
I am really worried about the long term repercussions. Countries in that region already distrusted us. This is possibly going to set back our relations with them by a century.
I saw a number of his supporters criticizing him over this and that is a good thing. A lot of people are saying Israel forced his hand!
